Data Translator

About the Role

As a Data Translator, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical data teams and client stakeholders. You will be responsible for telling data stories to convert complex technical jargon into plain language so that stakeholders can understand the trends and analysis and make informed business decisions. You will also be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications for data visualization specialists to understand and execute.

What You’ll Do

• Design measurement studies and experiments to evaluate client platform success based on defined Key Performance Indicators.
• Translate technical data concepts and terminologies into plain language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Utilize data to tell the story of trends and usage in client platforms.
• Present findings and provide recommendations to clients on ways they can better utilize their software.
• Collaborate with internal product teams to drive data driven decision making on new development planning.
• Coordinate with data visualization specialists to build dashboards that make the data story easy to understand.

· Work with Data Analysts to ensure that data is collected, stored, and available in a way that meets the needs of the business.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data analysis.
• Direct experience with analytics and business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau or Power BI)
• Desire to work in a team environment to accomplish tasks and complete projects.
• Passion for using data to tell stories, translating technical information to an audience with varied expertise and experience.
• Must have a curiosity about how things work and the ability to look for the root cause to evaluate success and opportunities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey strategy and analysis to internal business partners and external customers.
• Ability to actively listen through consultation and proven experience designing measurement plans, experimental design, and outcome analysis based on review of defined KPIs.
