Deli Supervisor

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Deli Supervisorto join our Bakery team on a full-time basis at our location in Vermilion, AB. Reporting to the Deli Manager.

What you’ll do:

· Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences

· Provide leadership and direction to the Bakery team in order to ensure a highly productive atmosphere exists

· Assist Deli Manager in directing and overseeing the Deli team in production, housekeeping, inventory management, and stocking shelves

· Assist Deli Manager with performance management for the Bakery department

· Assist Deli Manager with sales and margin targets

· Actively out on the sales floor working one-on-one with team members and leading by example

· Assist with administrative tasks for the Deli department

· Ordering, receiving, warehousing and stocking of product daily

· Inspire a committed, shared vision of respectful teamwork

· Follow proper maintenance and housekeeping duties

· Complete daily sanitation and temperature logs and abide by all Alberta Food Safe practices

· Able to work a variety of shifts – including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis

· Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety

· Perform other duties as assigned

· You have a grade 12 or combination of relevant experience; previous supervisory experience would be an asset
