We have a full time temporary position available for a Deliver Driver to a Summer Student! We are looking for someone to start after their school term is finished and be available Monday to Friday for full time hours to deliver materials to various plumber job sites throughout the summer season and help out in our warehouse.
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to our customers. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle in a timely manner to transport goods to customer locations
- Load and unload merchandise from the vehicle
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
- Follow delivery schedules and routes as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle
- Perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members
- Maintenance and organization of delivery documentation
- Regular communication with the warehouse and site managers to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with duties in the warehouse
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting and moving of merchandise
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
- Experience operating a forklift is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
