Delivery, Technician and Cleaner

Island Mediquip (www.islandmediquip.com) is a Vancouver Island owned and operated company that prides itself on being one of the largest independent suppliers of home medical equipment and lift/elevation equipment for people with disabilities.

We are looking for a Delivery Driver/Entry Level Technician/Equipment Cleaner to join our growing team for our growing Nanaimo location.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Store Supervisor, this position will be responsible for:

• Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers' locations
• Load and unload delivery vehicles
• Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely deliveries
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or questions
• Clean and sanitize rental medical equipment according to Island Mediquip's cleaning standards
• Assist with technical duties related to durable medical equipment under the supervision and training of an experienced technician
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles, ensuring they are in proper working order
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating a commercial vehicle
• Adhering to Island Mediquip’s procedures to allow for a safe work environment.

Required Skills

• Strong communication skills in fluent English (both verbal and written).
• Commercial driving experience, including a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform heavy lifting, as some deliveries may require moving large or heavy items
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading procedures
• Willingness to provide a criminal record check
• Willingness to learn with the possibility of advancement
• Must have a friendly, positive attitude and have the ability to have fun while working in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires a reliable individual who can work independently while providing exceptional customer service. Salary: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
