Demand Planner (On-Site For Bolton, On)

Agrocrop is looking for a Demand Planner, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. The Demand Planner will manage the planning team and raw material planning processes to ensure an organization operates efficiently. This position is an onsite full-time role and will be based out of our Bolton facility.

PRIMARY FOCUS:

The Demand Planner will ensure raw materials are available to meet designated production schedules utilizing the MRP system to manage material planning from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production. This involves developing forecasts for raw material needs by considering purchases, and production rates. Coordinating with stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary utilizing manufacturing data and reports to drive key insights into efficiency, production rate, and other performance metrics. Produces reports that evaluate plant capacity and identify areas needing improvement.

The Role:

• Able and have had experience implementing /manage the company planning system tool.
• Lead the S&OP process.
• Build and help standardize dashboards for strategic analysis and internal business review.
• Communicate with all key stake holders to manage product demand, availability, and optimal inventory levels.
• Develop and manage demand forecasts (operational forecasts)
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast results.
• Analyze and reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated commercial/customer assumptions.
• Interact with the commercial/customer facing team to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
• Present the full year demand numbers and insights vs. the previous month's demand by family during monthly S&OP meetings with senior management.
• Manage the timing and allocation of new products skus and the phase-out of end-of-line skus.
• Review forecast attainment weekly with the sales team and provide any significant update to supply planning on forecast "shift or miss."
• Develops short and long-term supply plans.

Qualifications:

Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in either Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Business/Administration, Industrial Engineering
• APICS, IBF, CPIM, CSCP, SCOR, CFPIM, ERP, SAP, PMP, CPF are an asset.
• 7 - 10 years’ proven working experience in logistics/supply chain/production planning
• Working knowledge of MS Suite and ERP systems
• Exceptional knowledge of planning and quality control principles
• Microsoft Power BI knowledge is an asset.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience required.
• Manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Ability to reach mutually acceptable solutions to complex problems which arise.
• Lead and influence demand planning strategies to maximize customer fill rates, minimize distressed sales (vendor allowances), and minimize inventory redistribution due to forecast error, and decrease forecast variances which negatively impact supply planning.
