Morris Equipment Ltd is a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of air seeding, tillage, and hay hauling equipment.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to join our Team. Depending on the applicants preference location the job could be based in either Regina, Sk (Head Office) or Yorkton, Sk (R&D Facility). In cooperation with a large Morris distributor, this position will offer the applicant an opportunity to work in Australia in a term position.
The Design Engineer is responsible for CAD design, product research, prototype development and field testing . A Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering is preferred, however other relevant education may be considered. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, but a farming background may be considered in lieu of experience. Must possess a good knowledge and understanding of current farming practices and farm equipment and also be familiar with current techniques and trends in farming methods. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required, experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint are beneficial.
Must posses a good working knowledge of current CAD software programs (Creo, Solidworks, AutoCAD). Must have or be pursuing P.Eng status in the province of Saskatchewan.
