The European Broadcasting Union EBU is looking for a Digital Content Producer, Learning and Marketing.

This is a remote position (EMEA open locations), thanks to our collaboration with our EOR (employer of records) global partner, we are open to hiring in various locations.

ABOUT THE EBU ACADEMY

The EBU Academy is the dedicated training unit of the EBU. In line with the EBU’s corporate strategy and EBU Member requirements, it builds and commercializes distinctive training for staff at EBU members, institutions and media organizations. It specializes in fields of learning that enable media professionals to upskill, navigate their transformation and ensure that public service media is fit for the future.
The EBU Academy resides in the Deputy Director General Office and will be part of the EBU Strategy Services supporting Members with intelligence (MIS), transformation and training. There will be a close collaboration with these units and all experts within the EBU Permanent Services.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

The new role of Digital Content Producer, Learning and Marketing will work with the EBU Academy, in close collaboration with other departments within the EBU.

The EBU Academy provides world class media training, responding to the needs of EBU Members and other industry professionals. This role is part of a drive towards producing more digital training content that can be accessed by trainees whenever its needed and a digital strategy for marketing.

The Digital Content Producer, Learning and Marketing will work on Digital Content development and Digital Content production, in line with strategic priorities.

He/she will be responsible for the production of digital training content, as the EBU Academy evolves to support more professionals with on demand learning. He/she will work across all elements of video production from writing concepts to filming, editing and post-production.

He/she will work with Academy staff to ensure our Digital Content is accessible to as many people as possible, including language translations, with collaborations with the EBU Technology and Innovation department and others.

The Digital Content Producer will also act as marketing lead for the team, clearly identify strong editorial angles to promote the activities of the EBU Academy, developing ideas for and create compelling digital marketing content including graphics, images and video accompanied by engaging copy.

He/she will manage and update the EBU Academy’s social media account/community and its website - driving the introduction of more Digital Content - as well as its page on the EBU’s internal online learning platform, iLearn and email marketing.

He/she will collaborate closely with the Head of EBU Academy and EBU Communications and Marketing teams to ensure the EBU Academy’s marketing is in line with the strategy and style of the department and wider organisation, finding new ways to collaborate and tell the stories of the EBU Academy to wider audiences.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • At least 3 years of professional experience as Digital Content Producer
  • Proven experience of being a skilled and creative Digital Content creator, with examples of his/her work.
  • Knowledge of using tools such as those within the Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalents).
  • Experience in communications/digital production/marketing or a university level communications/digital production/marketing qualification.
  • Experience of filming content, editing and post production.
  • Detailed understanding of social media content and targeting.
  • Knowledge of different web CMS.
  • Ability to pull and interpret analytic data from across platforms.
  • Understanding of online regulations, GDPR and copyright laws.
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to cope under pressure.
  • Outstanding people skills including experience of collaborating with multiple stakeholders.


LANGUAGE -
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

EDUCATION - Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Strategies, Media or similar

ADDED VALUE

Additional experience in the following areas would be a bonus:

  • Experience within the field of education and/or Learning and development.
  • Working with geographically distributed and international teams (The EBU Academy team is currently divided between bases in Spain. Switzerland and the UK serving clients globally).
  • Experience in front of the camera, with presentation skills.
  • Experience with paid social media campaigns.
  • Foreign languages.
