JOB DESCRIPTION: DINING ROOM HOST/ESS

Old Mill Toronto (OMT Hospitality Inc.) is a Historic Toronto Landmark located at 21 Old Mill Road. A 5-minute walk from Old Mill Subway Station and/or we offer free employee on-site parking. Old Mill Toronto is known for its Fine Dining Restaurant, Seasonal Patios, and Traditional Afternoon Tea along with Banquet function rooms and a private Chapel. We are looking for a Dining Room Host/Hostess with an outgoing personality, friendly demeanor, strong work ethic and team oriented.

The Dining Room Host/ess reports directly to the Dining Room Manager reports and/or his or her designate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Meet & greet our Dining Room guests and escort them to their table(s).
• Answer all the phone calls and Document calls and queries from the guests.
• Document all phone and walk in reservations for the Dining Room.
• Enter all reservations and cancellations in Open Table System.
• Plan out the seating chart and organize the reservations.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with the servers and the kitchen staff.
• Monitor and ensure the Dining Room, entryway, and menus are kept clean throughout operations.
• Directing guests to room check when required.
• Checking day’s reservations for large parties and ensuring arrangements are made for seating.
• Updating with kitchen on status of timing for orders.
• Complete assigned tasks in timely manner.
• Assist in the set up and tear down of the seasonal decorations in the Dining Room and/or the property.
• Performing all other duties assigned or requested by Management.

The above-mentioned tasks are subject to change based on the business needs of the company.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.55-$19.00 per hour
