Dining Services Coordinator
This department head will be a hands-on supervisor of all dining service activities. In this key position, responsibilities include preparation of food as per the Sunrise menu program, hiring/training/scheduling/supervising the dining service team, managing the food inventory and supply budget, and complying with regulatory and sanitation standards. Requires at least 2 years experience as a chef /cook manager, sanitation certification, knowledge of therapeutic diets, computer skills and the ability to motivate and manage team members.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the service department
- Manage a team of service staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Schedule and assign service tasks to ensure efficient and timely completion
- Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction, addressing any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication
- Conduct interviews and hire new service staff members
- Train and onboard new hires, providing necessary guidance and resources
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for service operations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace
Skills:
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and staff members
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel service operations, including bartending, food preparation, and food handling
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills to address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly
- Experience in interviewing and hiring new staff members
- Proficient in using technology for scheduling, inventory management, and communication purposes
