Job description

National Bank Independent Network (NBIN) is currently looking for a Director of Professional Services to join our Professional Services team.

This position will report to the VP, Professional Services, and Integrations. The person selected will engage NBIN customers to identify strategic and operational opportunities and provide executable solutions to complex business and/or technology challenges. They will work in partnership with key internal and external resources to help NBIN customers accelerate and achieve their business goals.

The successful candidate must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy. They must enjoy analyzing and solving problems. Big picture thinkers with high energy and superior communication skills will succeed well in this role.

Your role:

  • Work directly with customers to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and propose viable solutions to meet business needs.
  • Lead and facilitate engagements with internal and external stakeholders focused on solving business problems
  • Provide innovative thought leadership and strategic guidance on customer initiatives, strategies, and tactics
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, within all levels of an organization,
  • Anticipate business and customer needs, and proactively develop and propose potential solutions
  • Prepare relevant documentation including high level estimates and statements of work
  • Manage stakeholders through influence to prioritize and drive delivery to ensure the success of customer initiatives
  • End-to-end management of customer initiatives from planning through execution stages
  • Maintain and fortify relationships with strategic partners and vendors to ensure best in class services and solutions
  • Create and maintain pipeline of NBIN customer deliverables and revenue opportunities
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research to stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer demands
  • Prepare and present key updates and insights to internal and external Senior Leadership teams contributing to overall strategic planning
  • Support business development activities related to RFPs and RFIs

Prerequisites:

  • 10+ years relevant experience in the B2B Wealth Management Space
  • History of building strong relationships with a variety of cross-functional teams, internal and external partners
  • Able to clearly and concisely communicate in verbal and written form to both internal and external stakeholders, with emphasis on understanding the client’s perspective
  • Proven experience leading small and large implementations of complex operational/technical/integration initiatives from conceptualization through execution
  • Strong business acumen and ability to move easily between big picture thinking and in-depth details
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to achieve results
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective and structured communications to Senior Leadership teams
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to delivering results that are beneficial to our customers and our organization
  • Experience in developing strategies to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office suite including Project, Access, and Visio
  • Advanced technical skills and expertise are considered an asset
  • Bilingualism (spoken/written) in French and English is considered an asset
