Reporting to the Executive Director Primary Health Care NWS, the Director is responsible for contributing to the development and achievement of strategy by articulating gaps and needs. The Director supports strategy through the development and execution of operational and business plans, including cascading, monitoring, reporting, and course correction of same. The Director demonstrates strong leadership to enable an innovative and positive working climate and a client-centric culture. The Director must work cross functionally within the portfolio and across the organization to support operations. The Director will develop partnerships and work closely with system and community partners. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications A recognized Doctorate in Psychology Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable Valid Class 5 Driver's license Experience 3-5 years experience in the provision of psychology services Experience, at an operational level, as a leader who has developed and led innovative planning and programs in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment 3-5 years in a leadership position with progressive advancement Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrates and is recognized for strategic and operational leadership that includes articulation of mission, vision and strategy and charts a path forward Demonstrates commitment to a diverse, culturally competent and culturally safe health system and representative workforce Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity Has a proven ability to collaborate and partner with a wide variety of stakeholders, including community, to balance the needs and interests of these diverse groups while maintaining alignment with strategic priorities Has demonstrated ability to coach and develop others Has demonstrated strong critical thinking, financial and analytical skills Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills Is committed to delivering on patient and family centered care. Is committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement striving towards zero harm Knowledge of legislation and applicable laws Knowledge of the healthcare system in Saskatchewan Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example Promotes innovation, guides change and is committed to continuous improvement Other Information Travel within the province of Saskatchewan is required Additional Information Successful applicant may qualify for a $25,000 recruitment incentive, and up to $10,000 in relocation assistance Facility Information: Opening in September, 2018, the new Saskatchewan Hospital (188 beds, plus 96 secure beds), offers a uniquely designed setting (400,000 square foot building area), shaped by the principles set out by the patients including connections to nature and an abundance of natural light in patient spaces. The common areas of the new facility include innovative space for individual or group activities including music, art, exercise, and learning practical skills for life. The state-of-the-art design of this new facility includes better patient, staff and supply flows including supportive infrastructure, technology and programming for optimal patient care and treatment. The design of this one of a kind facility represents the input from patients and staff to ensure that the best care, treatment and recovery can be achieved. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.
