Job Summary
As the Director of Catering & Events, you will be responsible for leading teams that provide services in catering and all-inclusive club spaces (Edmonton Oilers games) as well as oversee our growing outdoor events business (Ice District Plaza & Fan Park).  
Now, if you were to come on board as our Director of Catering & Events, we'd ask you to do the following for us:
-Develop and manage Food and Beverage operations for Premium Clubs spaces, Ice Plaza, Fan Park & internal and external Catering
-Hold team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service
-Ensure team members have the tools necessary to complete their jobs
-Ensure show quality standards are always maintained
-Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and guests, regularly obtaining feedback to improve operations
-Support and communicate company initiatives
-Ensure the execution of all menus, promotions and programs as outlined by the Director of Operations in accordance with Compass standards
-Ensure that all security, safety, and sanitation standards are achieved
-Achieve daily sales and assigned cost and budget goals 
-Provide operational planning to ensure adequate products and equipment are ordered for anticipated business levels
-Practice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment
-Follow and enforce responsible alcohol service policies
-Forecast and adequately schedule team members to meet operational needs and desired targets
-Interview, hire, train and develop team members according to Compass guidelines

-Minimum 5 years previous experience leading high volume food and beverage operations, catering and/or events
-Able to communicate effectively with management team, guests, and associates by speaking and comprehending English
-Has strong attention to detail
-Excellent leadership skills, coaching and supervisory abilities
-Positive, energetic personality
-English reading, writing, math, and computer skills required
-Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates
-Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts
-Possible job hazards include, but are not limited to; slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains
-Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift given the nature of work environment
-Must be comfortable working inside and outside in the elements as business dictates
-Previous experience leading high volume food and beverage operations, catering and/or events
