Bakeshop is a fully-remote marketing agency serving an exciting portfolio of 6, 7 and 8-figure DTC brands. We 're passionate about crafting bold new marketing strategies that drive significant ROI for our clients, and scaling our clients' brands through paid social, paid search, CRO, and lifecycle marketing strategies.

About the Role

As our Director of Marketing Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our agency continues to deliver exceptional service to our high-value clients while scaling operations sustainably. You will be at the forefront of operational strategy, team leadership, and service innovation, working closely with our founder to nurture a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Your efforts ensure operational excellence and project delivery through direct involvement in Paid Social, Paid Search, Email + SMS, CRO, Creative and Client Service departments. You’ll actively contribute to, and oversee day-to-day operations and service execution. As an experienced digital marketer, you’ll also directly contribute to core service delivery, capable of stepping in to address immediate needs and drive project success.

This role involves a blend of strategic planning, process optimization, resource management, and team leadership to support the agency's growth and operational excellence.

You’ll be responsible for building, rolling out, and monitoring department processes and systems to ensure effective and efficient production flow throughout the team and with the client. Also responsible for developing solid relationships with clients and connecting with key business stakeholders to ensure successful campaign launches.

Successful candidates must have notable experience in digital marketing, ideally for DTC brands, combining deep expertise as a marketer with a robust background in operations, to effectively lead and innovate in our service delivery.

Qualifications

  • A strong enthusiasm for the art and science of growing E-commerce businesses.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing for DTC brands with a proven track record in paid user acquisition (Meta Ads).
  • Extensive experience in Marketing Operations, with demonstrated ability to streamline processes and lead diverse teams towards operational excellence.
  • Skilled in strategic planning and execution, including developing and implementing operational strategies that align with company goals.
  • Strong background in client relationship management, capable of building solid relationships with high-value clients and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Expertise in process optimization, including identifying and implementing improvements to enhance service delivery and efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the agency's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead delivery teams, setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and driving high performance.
  • Directly address and resolve client inquiries or issues as they arise, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and trust in the agency's responsiveness and problem-solving abilities.
  • Dive into specific marketing platforms (e.g., Meta, Google Ads) to troubleshoot and rectify issues personally when necessary, demonstrating a commitment to immediate and effective problem resolution.
  • Directly oversee and engage in quality control processes to ensure client deliverables meet the highest standards.
  • Responsible for the creation, documentation, and ongoing refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflows across all agency operations
  • Actively participate in key projects, especially those involving media buying on platforms like Meta and Google, to optimize campaigns, manage budgets, and ensure client objectives are met.
  • Oversee project timelines and workloads, intervening directly to reallocate resources or take personal charge to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure optimal allocation of agency resources, including personnel, technology, and budgets, across projects and departments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase the agency’s efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Standardize workflows and procedures to ensure consistency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for high-value clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and a proactive approach.
  • Measure and improve client satisfaction through regular feedback and tailored service improvements.
  • Assist in the hiring process for new team members, freelancers or vendors ensuring candidates align with the agency's strategic needs and culture.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are integrated into the team and understand their role in achieving the agency’s goals.
  • Provide regular reports on operational performance, efficiency improvements, and progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct analysis to inform strategic decision-making and operational adjustments.
  • Explore and implement new business models, operational technologies, and methodologies to drive efficiency and competitive advantage.
  • Lead initiatives for scaling operations and fostering innovation within operational processes.
  • Establish open channels of communication for team feedback on operations, client projects, and internal processes. Use this feedback to make continuous improvements.
  • Implement systems to recognize and reward employees for exceptional work, innovation, and contributions to client success.
  • Lead the effort to translate client feedback into actionable insights for service improvement. Work with internal teams to implement changes and enhancements in service offerings and processes.
