Join our team as the Director of Procurement, overseeing and shaping the procurement landscape for both British Columbia and Alberta. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for managing a team of Procurement managers and establishing robust processes and controls. Utilize your strategic expertise to navigate current market conditions and implement efficient supply chain management practices. As the key liaison internally and externally, leverage your acute insights into operational needs, industry best practices, and vendor relationships to ensure the seamless delivery of materials and services. Your influence will play a critical role in driving the success of our organization.

Highlights of Core Accountabilities:

• Direct and lead procurement teams and procurement practices throughout Centra, offering guidance and leadership to procurement managers.
• Facilitate the seamless implementation of best procurement practices across the organization by incorporating visionary thinking, fostering creativity, promoting collaboration, ensuring effective problem-solving, and making decisive decisions.
• Proactively identify and address potential risks within the supply chain, implementing preventive measures to enhance the overall health and resilience of vendor relationships.
• Spearhead the development, implementation, and continuous monitoring of Centra-wide procurement processes and controls, ensuring a standardized and efficient approach.
• Continuously evaluate and adapt procurement strategies in response to market dynamics, technological advancements, and organizational shifts, ensuring they remain aligned with evolving goals.

The ideal candidate for the Director of Procurement role at Centra is an accomplished leader with a track record of spearheading successful procurement programs and managing teams effectively. We seek an innovative visionary who excels in cultivating relationships both internally and externally. With a proven ability to drive strategic procurement initiatives, this candidate will bring a dynamic approach to the role, fostering collaboration and ensuring impactful outcomes for our organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
• 8-10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with a focus on leadership roles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
• Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making and continuous evaluation of Procurement strategies.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent, may be advantageous.

Location:

The Director of Procurement role offers flexibility, with the option to be based at either our Langley, BC, or Calgary, AB locations. We welcome candidates from both regions to apply, providing an opportunity to contribute to our organization's success from either location.
