Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, InnVest Hotels. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

JOB SUMMARY

THE ROLE: The Director of Sales & Marketing position is generally responsible for directing the sales and marketing efforts of the hotel in order to maximize revenue. The incumbent will be responsible to lead a dynamic sales team, coordinate all marketing initiatives and sell hotel rooms with a significant revenue contribution.

As a Director of Sales and Marketing, you will play a vital role in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue, enhance brand recognition and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability; identify new business opportunities and cultivate strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, local partners and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with the sales team to create and execute innovative marketing campaigns that enhance brand awareness and drive direct bookings; develop targeted promotions, advertising initiatives and digital marketing strategies to reach the hotel's target audience. Team

  • Leadership: Manage and lead a high-performing sales team; set goals, provide guidance and inspire team members to deliver exceptional results; foster a positive work environment and encourage professional development within the team.

  • Revenue Management: Collaborate with Revenue Management to analyze market trends, competitor activities and pricing strategies; utilize data and insights to optimize room rates, revenue streams and occupancy levels.

  • Public Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local media, influencers and industry professionals.

  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and foster partnerships with appropriate brands, local businesses and organizations to create unique guest experiences and increase brand visibility; negotiate and manage contracts and agreements to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships Budgeting and

  • Reporting: Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively; monitor and analyze key performance metrics and prepare regular reports.

  • Guest Experience: Collaborate with Guest Services and Operations teams to ensure a seamless guest experience aligned with the hotel's standards; continuously seek opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty through personalized services and tailored experiences.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education and Experience: Diploma in Hotel Management Studies. Previous 3-year professional experience in the hospitality industry, including at least two years as Sales Director or at a higher level. Industry Knowledge with a deep understanding of the hotel market, trends and customer preferences; familiarity with revenue management principles and digital marketing strategies; knowledge of local market dynamics and competition.

  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies; highly self-motivated, strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market conditions and identify opportunities; results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue and achieving business objectives.

  • Leadership and Communication : Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating a diverse team; excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, partners and team members; strong negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Brand Ambassador: Passionate about hospitality and committed to upholding the hotel's brand image and reputation; ability to embody the hotel's values and deliver an exceptional guest experience at all times
