What you will be doing:

As the Director of Operations Strategy & Enablement, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategy and planning processes for Tangerine Operations, as well as supporting delivery and execution of key operational initiatives. You will also be responsible for providing thought leadership to drive strategic change and to partner with the operations leadership team in the identification of appropriate plans and initiatives in support of the business strategy.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Collaborate on the development of key business strategies, prioritize of strategic initiatives, and participate and/or lead initiatives designed to support the strategy of Tangerine.
• Provide insightful business analysis and oversee the reporting of monthly, quarterly and year-end results to various stakeholders, including commentaries, to drive a deep understanding of operational results. Identify opportunities to improve key metrics against industry benchmarks. Lead in supporting the development of content for key presentations and business sessions.
• Build and implement processes for, and provides strategic direction on, initiatives within Tangerine Operations including the development of short and long term strategies to drive scalability
• Conduct research and trend analysis to identify opportunities for Tangerine Operations including customer centric innovation, scalability, and efficacy
• Act as the 'central point of contact' on a variety of projects and initiatives to ensure that they are well planned, coordinated and successfully implemented in a consistent manner across impacted stakeholder groups
• Partner with, and provide direction to, Tangerine/CB Finance to ensure ongoing forecasted results are accurate.
• Provide input based on industry analysis and trending, including potential obstacles. Ensure the impact of business cases are accounted for within plan, while concurrently providing advice on the various strategic levers.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

• University degree; business/commerce preferred
• 10+ years strategy experience, including working with senior leaders across operations, technology, and product functions
• Proven track record in strategy development, including in-depth experience and demonstrated success in leading multi-disciplinary initiatives of varying sizes and complexity, efficiently and effectively, ensuring all elements of change are considered, understood and managed
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize a number of concurrent projects
• Excellent visionary, planning and analytical skills - data analytic expertise is required
• Ability to take calculated, enterprising risks supported by clear rationale (eg. industry trends, competitive research and positive cost/benefit analysis)
• Strong negotiating, influencing and communication skills (written and oral) to influence all levels of the organization through the presentation of insight based on sound experiences
