Summary

The Corporate Strategy team works with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other senior leaders across the company to shape Celestica's strategic direction and deliver profitable growth. This team is responsible for managing the company's strategic planning process, assessing market opportunities and threats, recommending and prioritizing actionable growth strategies and investments, defining and executing business transformations, and driving mergers and acquisitions that advance the company's objectives.  Strong preference will be given to candidates based out of the  greater San Francisco area.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead all activities related to early stage technology companies
  • Source and manage investment opportunities ($1-10M each)
  • Conduct all stages of diligence on Strategic Investments
  • Write investment proposals, make recommendations, and present to executive leadership
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential deal sources, including venture capital firms
  • Work with the sales and account teams to conduct assessments of early stage companies
  • Identify and analyze new business models and technologies to determine value creation opportunities
  • Act as liaison between investment companies and Celestica functions
  • Build ongoing and ad hoc reports on performance of investments

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of total experience with 5 years in investment banking, venture capital, or private equity
  • Knowledge of the green energy space, particularly power generation, energy storage, and EV charging; other industrial markets a plus
  • Expertise across the entire cycle of strategic investment activities
  • Skilled at influencing and communicating with a diverse set of functions and audiences
  • Passion for new technologies that will shape the future
  • Strong attention to detail and robust analytical skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
  • Capable of managing multiple simultaneous deals

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
