Dishwasher & Janitorial

Careit Urban Deli is a small, food retail store in West Edmonton. We are inviting a motivated and professional individual to join our Crestwood store as part of our Kitchen team.

We are a chef own and run company; good food is at the forefront of our values. In this role, you will support the front and back of house by quickly washing dishes, keeping the workplace clean and sanitary as well as upkeep of equipment. This job requires you to be on your feet at all times as well as lifting heavy stock pots. We are a small company and therefore all staff need to be team players to have the company run successfully.

Duties:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots and utensils
• Clean and sanitize designated areas, including work stations, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
• Deep clean of stove tops and hood fans
• Change sanitizer buckets and spray bottles
• Temperature checks of refrigeration units
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean floor mats
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners, clean bins when needed
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
• Dust fixtures and equipment
• Vacuum refrigeration filters
• Clean out floor drains
• Restock supplies at hand sinks, restrooms and break rooms
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
• Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed
• Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals

Note: Experience in food handling, hotel, hospitality, restaurant, or kitchen environments is a plus. The ability to assist with food preparation or cooking may be required in some settings.

Hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 11:00am to 7:00pm.

Compensation is based on experience and amount of responsibility you are willing to take on.
