Job description

Primary Purpose: To maintain a high standard of sanitation and efficiency in the equipment and ware-washing department of the kitchen.

Nature of Work: The successful applicant will report directly to the Sous Chef and the Executive Chef and provides assistance to Kitchen Supervisors as requested. Shifts are subject to change with business demands and will include early mornings, evenings and/or weekends.

Typical Duties or Accountabilities: Duties will include the washing of pots, dishes, pans, and cooking utensils; detailed cleaning; regular operation and maintenance of dishroom equipment; regular cleaning and sanitation of fridges, kitchen, dining area, storage and work areas; safe handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals; walking deliveries to satellite locations; assisting in all other areas of the Culinary Services operation as required.

Skills: Ability to work efficiently and productively in a fast paced and high volume setting for protracted periods of time; written and verbal communication skills required; ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting; and the ability to work independently.
