Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative

Pacific Fireplaces is the island's premier fireplace & Heat pump store. We are locally owned and family operated since 1999, specializing in the installation and maintenance of gas, wood, electric fireplaces & ductless heat pumps. We are a well-established company looking for long-term employees to grow and advance within the company.

We currently have one opening for the position of Front Desk - Receptionist/dispatcher. This is a full-time position with some seasonal considerations.

If you are a responsible person full of enthusiasm, detail oriented and possess excellent customer service skills you may be the person we are looking for. A love of hearth is a big bonus!

Duties for this role will include but are not limited to:

Warmly greet & screen clients and direct clients to appropriate staff member

Answer phone, screen calls and direct calls appropriately.

Learn & use dispatching & invoicing system software

Schedule & dispatch technicians to installation & service jobs

Create invoices, receive payments from customers and record the amount received on the sales orders

Perform and maintain general cleaning and organizing schedule of showroom

Learn relevant product knowledge in order to assist clients over the phone or in the showroom

Assisting clients on showroom floor by demonstrating products, providing education and resources to perspective clients

Assist potential customers by answering basic product and service related questions

Perform any other special duties as requested by manager

Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma is required

At least one-year customer service experience/ administrative experience is required

Sales is secondary, but ability to be comfortable on a sales floor is an asset and this position works closely with sales staff

Strong interpersonal/customer service skills

Basic math skills for invoicing

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

A positive attitude with the ability to communicate and interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner

Ability to stay organized while effectively multi- tasking

Ability to work as a team and work independently with minimum supervision

Desire to learn and grow with & within the company

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
