Dock, Boat Lift & Marine Railway Installer

Job Description

• We are looking for hardworking individuals with a positive attitude that enjoy working in the outdoors and around the water.
• Installing and removing Aluminum Pipe, Floating and Lift up Docks. Installation and removal of Boat lifts and Marine Railways at homes and cottages.
• Floating or carrying product into place and leveling.
• Drilling rock and aluminum, and may perform carpentry or other trade work during installation.
• Basic mechanical skills are required as you will be working with drills, saws and basic hand tools.
• Regular working hours are Monday - Friday 7am to 5pm. Overtime is required during this time. This is a seasonal position from May to September. Contract can be extended to Full Time/.Year round for the right applicant.
• Must have own transportation to and from work, located in Lakefield, Ontario.
• Looking for 2-3 applicants to start in April and 2 more in May.

Job Requirements

• Must be comfortable working in and around the water and be a confident swimmer.
• Valid G drivers license with clean drivers abstract is an asset
• Any previous experience driving truck and flat bed trailer, boaters License and familiar with local waterway navigation would be an asset.
• Basic mechanical and/or carpentry experience
• Familiar with installing shoreline Docks, Boat lifts or Marine Railways would be an asset.
• This job does require heavy lifting so applicant should be in good physical health.
• Wage will be based on previous applicable experience, and driving history.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Salary: $17.50-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
