Pet Paradise North is Yellowknife’s newest Dog Daycare and boarding facility. We focus on exercise and safe socialization for dogs. Pet parents have the assurance of leaving their furry family members in the hands of trained professionals.
Pet Paradise North is looking for an energetic, organized, and enthusiastic Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. We work hard to deliver top customer service and ensure a great environment for the dogs in our care.
Dog Daycare Attendant:
- The focus of the Dog Daycare Attendant is to create a safe and fun play environment for each pup.
- You interact/engage with the dogs and are always watching.
- You will be caring for all the dogs as if they were your own.
- Maintain control of a large group of dogs in open play.
- Continuously walk the room to reward positive behaviors and re-direct escalated play.
- Address behavioral issues immediately without the use of force or physical punishment.
- Cleaning duties – Keep playroom clean of messes at all times, daily cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment, follow proper cleaning protocol and use of chemicals to ensure a safe environment for both people and dogs.
- Greeting Customers and checking in and checking out dogs from Daycare.
Job Qualifications:
- Must LOVE dogs!
- Ability to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Position requires a lot of standing and walking throughout shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
