Dog Walkers Job Description:
- Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks - Have dogs return to you when called
- Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners regarding their pets' needs
- Maintain control of dogs during walks to ensure their safety and the safety of others
- Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly
- Report any concerns or issues to the dog owner or supervisor
Pet Sitter Responsibilities:
- you will take care of the clients pet either in their home while they are away or boarding at your house if allowed.
Requirements:
- Enthusiastic, motivated, friendly, organized, loves animals
- Reliable vehicle that can transport dogs at a time to different locations for dog walking assignments - Previous experience working with dogs or in a related field is preferred
- Live on the North Shore (or close to the North Shore bridges) as you’ll be spending a great deal of time on the road driving dogs as it is. If you live further away you will not be contacted.
- Enjoys being outside in all kinds of weather. - Excellent customer service skills to interact with dog owners in a professional and friendly manner
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperament. - Ensure all clients dogs have a great adventure every day
- Strong communication skills to follow instructions and relay information to dog owners. - Able to lift 70lbs dogs into your vehicle
- Physical stamina to walk for extended periods and handle dogs of different energy levels - Non smoker (some clients are allergic to cigarette smoke) - Pet First Aid. - Pass a criminal records check - Must have your clean valid drivers license for minimum 5 years - Must be fluent in reading, writing & speaking English - Canadian Citizen/Permanent Resident
