Dog Walker/Pet Sitter/Daycare Attendant

We are looking for daycare attendants abs dog walkers/pet sitters with a passion for all things pets! We are looking for team members who pride themselves on accountability, focus, and teamwork. Experience preferred, but not required. This role relies heavily on good communication between staff, so the right personality is equal to experience. Working with dogs is a very physically demanding job. Sometimes we're walking for almost ten hours a day. You'll need to be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, crouching, kneeling, and able to stand on your feet for up to five hours. This role involves a lot of time working with dogs in the daycare and other group settings, so ability to read dog behavior quickly and react appropriately is am asset.

Daily tasks include:

• Monitoring and socializing dogs in play areas and group walks
• Preparing meals and administrating medications as needed and directed
• Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, play equipment, the play yard, food bowls, etc.
• Communicating any health or behavior issues to staff in order to be addressed with pet parents
• Dog walks and pet sits
• Cleaning up and disposing of pet waste
• Operating front lobby cash register for payments, client Intake, and check in/check out

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with dogs preferred. Home pets do not count.
• Comfortable with dogs of all breeds. We do not discriminate.
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non threatening manner
• Knowledge of Positive Reinforcement training preferred. R+ ONLY.
• Previous work experience demonstrating dependability
• Good oral communication skills
• Ability to work as a team
• Demonstrated flexibility and proven coping skills
• Own transportation required.
• Cell phone with data required for field visits
