Dosimetrist II
Location: Spring Medical Center
Department: Radiation Oncology
Job Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $110,589.60 – $145,148.85 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: A graduate of accredited Medical dosimetry program. Must be Certified by the Medical Dosimetry certification board. Or
A graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program. Registered as a Radiation Therapist. ARRT. CMD.
Preferred: N/A
Experience
Required: 8 years with Varian Aria and Eclipse Planning system experience. Must have experience in 3D/4D, Electrons, IMRT, IGRT, Rapid Arc, and SBRT planning
Experience with SRS and special procedure planning
Preferred: 10 years with Varian Aria and Eclipse Planning system experience. Must have experience in 3D/4D, Electrons, IMRT, IGRT, Rapid Arc, and SBRT planning
Experience with SRS and special procedure planning
Experience with ClearCheck and Mobius QA systems
License(s)
Required: Certified Medical Dosimetrist Board, ARRT if Radiation Therapist
Special Skills
Required: Ability to manage employees and serve as trainer for new techniques
Must understand the technical aspects of radiation therapy treatments and communicate these aspects to the Radiation Oncologist as well as Radiation Therapist. Must have basic knowledge of imaging systems and ability to recognize anatomy on these systems. Knowledge of Radiation Safety.
Ability to evaluate new technology
Assist with budget in evaluating equipment and software replacement
Other
Required: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, clinical judgement, knowledge of radiation therapy theory and practices
