Driver/Mover -Commercial Experience 16 Ft And 24Ft Trucks Required

We are seeking strong and reliable movers and drivers to become a part of the Rent-a-Son professional moving/packing team. All experience levels welcome, part time and full time opportunities available! Immediate work available.

Requirements:

• Mover/General Labour: Previous moving experience is preferred
• Truck Driver: 1 year experience driving 16-24′ trucks
• The ability to lift 75 + pounds, bend, squat, crouch, kneel and climb stairs consistently throughout the day
• Driver's license: G2 or G (Preferred)
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Being able to commute to our Etobicoke depot (Kipling and Dundas) as well as our Toronto depot (Dufferin and Eglinton)
• Must be a resident of Toronto, Etobicoke or Mississauga with NO criminal record or convictions
• Willing to work a varied schedule each week and long work hours

• Have a positive, collaborative attitude
• Legally able to work in Canada
• High School diploma or equivalent

What you will you do:

• Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
• Wrap furniture in protective material
• Operate dollies and other loading equipment to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks
• Demonstrate customer service and professionalism when dealing with clients and their property
• Perform other activities such as opening containers and crates, assist in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials
• Assist with other tasks on the job site as required

Drivers will additionally:

• Operate and drive straight trucks to transport goods and materials
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections

Job Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary: $22.00-$29.00 per hour
