In this position you will be responsible for engineering and commissioning activities related to low voltage and medium voltage drive projects in the area of Process Industries in Mannheim, Germany.In this role, you will support and coordinate engineering and commissioning activities and make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure that all activities are executed in accordance with expectations, specifications, standards and safety requirements, while identifying improvement opportunities.

Your responsibilities

  • Technical responsibility for the planning and execution of system solutions in drive projects.
  • Assist in continuous improvement of project design, participate in project review meetings, and plan installation and commissioning activities
  • Create work plans and cost estimates for work, conduct risk and opportunity assessments during commissioning, report on potential risks and solutions relevant to your engineering discipline
  • Resolving complex technical issues both remotely and at customer sites in Germany and Europe
  • Support sales and project management with your technical expertise in detailed planning and discussions with customers, partners and service providers
  • Maintaining andimprove customer satisfaction through dialogue and excellent service at all project phases
  • Collaborate and network with colleagues, disseminating proven solutions
  • Applying and improve standards and strategies to ensure effective project delivery

Your background

  • Several years of experience in electrical engineering projects and commissioning, preferable in the field of drive projects
  • Sound knowledge of engineering methods, processes and software tools
  • Experience with projects in the field of Metals, Pulp and Paper, Test Bench or Mining industries is desirable
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and adherence to all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn new technologies
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and German
  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent/higher
