Reports to: Head Pilot

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will conduct all inspections alongside the Head Pilot (PIC), this position is responsible for the operation of the sensor/payload on the UAV during all phases of Confined Space and Underground Inspections and flight operations. The Payload Operator will also serve as a crew member of the UAV, assisting the Pilot-In-Command (PIC) as directed for safe operation of the aircraft to include reading checklists, monitoring battery status, monitoring link quality, and assisting in emergencies. The Payload Operator will assist the PIC with mission planning and transporting all the required equipment to the inspection site. The Payload Operator must be familiar with various aspects of Confined Spacesand Underground mining for the safe and efficient conduct of the UAV inspection operations.

You will assist the Head Pilot with preparing the post inspection operations reports and review all recorded HD video to further identify any deficiencies or situations that are present from the collected inspection data.

Essential Job Functions:

· Perform the pre-flight checks and inspections of UAV System

· Operate the payload alongside the primary pilot/operator

· Be familiar with the normal operating procedures and the emergency procedures

· Assist the Head Pilot in the deployment and setup of the UAV System and

· Assemble and ensure all equipment required to perform the inspection is prepared and in good working order.

· Assist the Head Pilot in preparing the post inspection report and maintain proper records and documentation

· Ensure all batteries are charged and recorded into the BMS Logs

· Ensure battery and UAV flight logs and records are complete and recorded

· Perform pre-flight inspections of the UAV System

· Assist the Head Pilot with carrying out maintenance inspections, fault diagnosis and rectification as necessary

· Assist the Head Pilot with all maintenance inspections, fault diagnosis and rectification of the Air Vehicle components and VTP (Visual and Thermal Payload)

· Assist the Head Pilot in the performance of his/her duties

· Position UAS Inc. as the premiere supplier of Confined Space, and Underground Inspections services, flight training, repairs, and re-seller of the Flyability Elios Drone

Minimum Requirements:

· Common sense

· Willingness to learn

Knowledge & Skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Proven experience with cameras and settings

· Experience in FPV & BVLOS operations

· Willing to be trained and committed to the task

· Experience working with both small and large teams

· Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

· Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills

Applicants with prior underground experience and with a Current and Valid Norcat and Common Core Certification will be given priority.
