Job Title:Drug Benefit SpecialistDepartment: Drug Management Competition: 86796 Internal/External: Both Employment Type: Full Time Permanent Location: NS, NS, ON, QC, NL Remote Salary: Competitive Compensation Reports To: Manager, Drug, Product & Provider Management

As a Drug Benefit Specialist, you will be a key player in meeting daily operational requirements and expectations of the Drug Management Solutions Team. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be apt at multi-tasking and manipulating large volumes of data while ensuring accuracy and minimizing errors. You will also be involved in responding and resolving pharmacy provider questions and escalated concerns, and participating in special projects or corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains provincial formularies and supports pricing analytics and benefit updates;
  • Manages processes such as system adjustments, quality assurance and communication updates;
  • Responds to inquiries to support the operational areas with respect to drug management issues;
  • Maintains the wholesale and tendered price files;
  • Work in a team environment to deliver quality operational service;
  • Support new Pharmacy Provider onboarding
  • Point of contact for Pharmacy Provider queries submitted through PRDs, related information and issues for both external pharmacy provider community and internal customers;
  • Responds to pharmacy provider inquiries related to drug, including but not limited to pricing, drug product availability, coverage inquiry or new product additions via email or phone;
  • Ensures appropriate and timely resolution of escalations related to queries from Pharmacy Providers;
  • Develops and maintains detailed process documentation for all related aspects of the role.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: College and/or other post-secondary education in healthcare, business or a related field;
  • Work Experience: Two or more years of related experience with preferred attention given to pharmacy technician and/or clinical experience;
  • Other Qualifications: Familiarity with data analysis;Strong time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills, deadline driven;
  • Computer Skills: Agile in using the MS Office Suite of products and manipulating data; Basic knowledge of Excel formulas and functions with willingness to expand proficiency;
  • Language Skills: Bilingualism is considered an asset.
