Position: Drywall Installer
Number of positions: 1
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: $27.50 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible.
Work locations(s): Various locations in Surrey (BC) and other areas of Lower Mainland (BC).
Job duties:
- Measure cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
- Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
- Coordinate work procedures for installation and removal.
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.
- Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
- Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
- Follow all safety procedures on work site.
Job requirements
- Completion of secondary school required.
- Completion of Apprenticeship program in the trade or Minimum 3 years of experience in similar trade is required.
- Effective communication skills.
