 Early Careers: Associate Account Executive, M&A Advisory Solutions

What the day will look like

Each day is unique in this role. The daily work may look like any combination of tasks such as:

  • Receives incoming requests for diligence on new M&A deals for our Corporate and Financial Sponsor clients
  • Processing client requests and reviewing documentation for risk advisory engagements related to M&A activity
  • Managing the information request process and collaborating with all members of the client team on due diligence requirements, deadlines and deliverables
  • Identifying specific client risk exposure and presenting coverage benchmarking and pro-forma insurance budgets for go-forward situation
  • Assess risk profile for M&A Targets, determine the insurance budget, and understand the various deal structure scenarios
  • Request and receiving policy reviews from the Broking Team, conducting a preliminary review to determine if industry standards have been met;
  • Preparing Risk & Insurance Due Diligence reports, program reports and client survey information for review by Team Management;
  • Participate in meetings and client calls, and read-out calls, coordinate with Team Management to answer ad-hoc questions as they occur during the deal
  • Establishing account specific service plans and delivery approaches which support coverage solutions and provide continued opportunity for Aon product / service exposure post closing of M&A deals;

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Our ideal candidate brings some commercial risk experience, but it does not have to be M&A related. They have excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a broad range of audiences.

  • Interest in M&A and financial markets
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • Consistent track record of prioritizing tasks under ambitious timelines;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently;
  • Must have strong digital literacy and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, including both self-directed learning and in-role training.
