Duties:
- Implement the New Brunswick Curriculum Framework for Early Learning and Childcare to create a comprehensive and enriching educational experience for children.
- Provide continuous supervision and ensure the safety of children at all times.
- Plan and execute meaningful and developmentally appropriate initiatives to foster the growth and learning of each child.
- Complete required professional learning hours annually to stay up to date with best practices and industry standards in Early Childhood education.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the assigned classroom to create a positive learning environment.
- Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents to ensure the well-being and progress of each child.
- Implement positive child guidance techniques to encourage social, emotional, spiritual and physical development.
- Create a safe and welcoming environment where children can explore, learn, and play.
- Observe and meticulously document children’s learning progress and developmental milestones.
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits to promote independence and self-care skills.
- Plan and implement bible story teachings daily
- Exemplify our foundational values in daily operations at the centre
Qualifications:
- Current Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- ECE or equivalent
- Willingness to complete New Brunswick 90hr Curriculum training
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage classroom activities
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide and motivate children
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
