Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Monitor and assess children's development and progress
- Collaborate with parents and communicate regularly about their child's development
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Follow all licensing regulations and maintain required documentation
Qualifications:
- AEC / DEC in Early Childhood Education
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in French and English
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Skills:
- Classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment
- Knowledge of special education strategies for supporting children with diverse needs
