**Position Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our team at Stoney Creek Medical Center. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations for patients, ensuring the highest quality of imaging and patient care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, a caring approach to patient interactions, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations for diagnostic purposes.

- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.

- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of internal organs, tissues, or blood flow, ensuring optimal images are obtained.

- Analyze ultrasound images and provide preliminary findings to healthcare providers as necessary.

- Maintain accurate patient records and ultrasound equipment logs.

- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss and plan patient care.

- Stay updated with advances in sonography techniques, equipment, and software.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from a recognized institution.

- Certification with Sonography Canada (formerly known as Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals - CARDUP).

- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO) as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer.

- Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in producing high-quality diagnostic images.
