Salary Range
$83,313.86 - $95,028.49 annually, which includes a 3.3% temporary market adjustment, plus $36.53 bi-weekly isolation allowance for Smithers.

The Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation is responsible for British Columbia's electricity, alternative energy, mining and petroleum resource sectors, and supporting work to meet BC's greenhouse gas reduction targets.
The Ministry's Energy Efficiency Branch develops and delivers provincial Energy Efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reduction programs and policies for the built environment as part of the Province's CleanBC Plan. This includes the CleanBC Better Homes and Better Buildings program - an integrated offer of information, services and financial incentives to help households, businesses and the public sector save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through heating equipment replacements and building envelope improvements.
The Energy Efficiency Program Advisor is an economist that plans, leads and conducts complex economic analysis and forecasting related to Energy Efficiency and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction program design, implementation and evaluation for the residential and commercial sector.
Job Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in economics or closely related field such as statistics, commerce, or mathematics, or equivalent.
• Experience in the design and implementation of statistical analysis and economic modelling projects.
• Experience or research in Energy Efficiency, greenhouse gas emission reduction, or building technology.
• Experience communicating complex information to non-experts using oral, written, and presentation skills.
Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
• A master's degree in economics or related field such as statistics, commerce, or mathematics.
• Two (2) or more years' experience in the experiences listed above.
• Experience in the following areas:
  • Energy Efficiency Program design and/or evaluation.
  • Program financial management.
  • Project management and/or contract management.
