BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Peguis Child and Family Services Inc., is mandated to provide programs and services to Peguis First Nation Members that protect children, promote family wellness, and strengthen the community.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide child protection and family services to Peguis First Nation Membership that may request services.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Abide by Code of Conduct

Maintain Oath of Confidentiality

Organize, arrange, and be involved in all Elder Council Meetings including:

  • booking of hotels, meeting rooms, scheduling meeting
  • honorariums, time sheets, travel expenditures for Elders Council

Demonstrate organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication skills

Seek out resources that are available: in community and rural areas

Submit monthly reports to assigned supervisor as required

Collect data and able to present annual report when requested

Willingness to learn and understand the basics of The Honouring our Children, Families and Nation Act

Other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
Demonstrate organizational and interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in iMac – specifically Microsoft Office

Maintain a high degree of professionalism, courteousness, and friendliness
Self-motivated and dedicated team player

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Administrative/clerical studies an asset

Minimum of one year experience
Grade 12 High School Diploma

Valid class 5 Driver’s license and Reliable means of transportation

Proficient with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher)
