Job description

This position is office based out of Lake Country, BC. You must be able to commute to and from Lake Country, and be available to various travel to Projects.

Four Point Electric Inc. is hiring one General Foreman/woman Electrician to work out of our main office in Lake Country, BC. Candidates must be self-driven and experienced in one or more of the following sectors: commercial, institutional or large multi-unit residential mixed-use work.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Site Reporting

  • Holding Foreman/woman accountable to complete site reports daily
  • Setting and ensuring company standards are met
  • Reviewing onsite logistics and ensuring they are reported
  • Ensure time sheets are filled out correctly, and Foreman/woman sign off on their crew

Equipment Reporting

  • Ensure tool reconciliations are done monthly and hold Foreman/woman responsible for reporting them
  • Ensure quarterly tool inspections are completed and are color code identified
  • New tools are marked, logo stenciled, QR coded, and electronically reported and the electronic report is done correctly
  • Tool damage/repair statuses are electronically noted and are coordinated to be repaired and put back into service

Safety Reporting

  • Ensure weekly safety meetings and daily hazard assessments are completed and reported from each Foreman/woman
  • Ensure equipment and vehicle inspections are done as required
  • Review site specific safety practices and procedures with foremen/woman
  • Safe work practices and procedures, and inspections of PPE and applicable equipment are enforced
  • Safety infractions are documented and disciplined as required
  • Safety incidences are recorded and reported properly, medical attention is coordinated on site, and administration is notified

B Material and Distributor Performance

  • Ensuring Foreman/woman are completing paperwork as required and filing paperwork appropriately
  • Base, change request, and extra work order are differentiated, documented and filed correctly
  • Monitor the return of merchandise and the logistics around returns, to ensure accounting is notified of credits or overages by the Foreman/woman and effectively communicated correctly to the Distributor
  • Holding Distributors accountable to perform as agreed upon
  • Establishing points of contact for Foreman/woman for material

Work Force

  • Control all major movements of manpower on all sites. Oversight of small movements with Foreman/woman for journeyperson or apprentice
  • Tracking and achieving required crew compositions
  • Weekly sign off of time sheets with site Foreman/woman
  • Projection and coordination with human resources, project management, and administration for labor shortages and layoffs
  • Ensuring quality installations throughout projects
  • Communicating with Foreman/woman to give them proper man power to be successful
  • When a project is in need of manpower, strap on the pouch and go.
  • Create schedules with project management, A Foreman/woman, and B Foreman/woman, and help ensure the schedule is met.

Major Equipment Procurement

  • Coordinate with project management and president on all major equipment required for site-specific projects
  • Coordinate all vehicle and equipment movements with senior project management
  • Responsible for helping to coordinate all deliveries
  • Keeping the office shop in good working order and in an efficient manner

Mentorship and Training Foreman/woman Leadership

  • Ensuring Foreman/woman are capable of the assigned tasks, or trained and monitored to achieve quality installation standards
  • Foreman/woman leadership on site. Ensure company expectations for site communication with our work force, generals, and project management is efficiently and effectively executed
  • Implement, encourage, and hold accountable Foreman/woman to the ‘TDQM System’ approach. To Do, Questions, and Material.
  • Collaboration and solution solving approach at all Foreman/woman’s meetings, and ensuring the Foreman/woman are held accountable for accurate status and projection reports
  • Instilling a positive and proactive approach with Foreman/woman
  • Instilling and creating a trusting atmosphere with all Foreman/woman to communicate accurate report of issues at hand
  • Creating checklist QAQC and organizational systems to help keep the Foreman/woman on track and to empower them
  • Running the Foreman/woman meetings in a collaborative and efficient manner

BlueBeam REVU Program

  • Familiar with Bluebeam REVU
  • Help to standardize program tool box items
  • Collaboration with estimating, PM, and Foreman/woman to create standardized symbols in BlueBeam REVU
  • Creating and monitoring working drawings standards with Foreman/woman and Project Management to ensure they are standardized within the organization

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Foreman/woman: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class 5 Driver's License (preferred)
