Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a Permanent full-time talented Electrical Technical Support Representative in Elkford, BC. In this role you will be responsible for assisting in the timely repair of down equipment. The position ensures field and shop activities involving maintenance and repair of mining equipment are conducted in a safe, efficient, and economical manner. Responsibilities include assisting tradespeople in repair procedures and techniques when problems are encountered .

  • Salary: $100,000 - $115,000/year
  • Location: Elkford, BC
  • Shifts: Shift Rotation - 7 days on/7 days off | 12 hours /day
  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time
Responsibilities:
Project Support
  • Respond promptly to equipment down situations requiring advanced troubleshooting.
  • Provide after-hours Technical Support.
  • Follow up on factory campaigns and assist in developing project plans, priorities, budgets, and schedules.
  • Track and monitor test programs in the field, communicating with the Reliability Group and Corporate Technical Support.
  • Identify and analyze technical issues, continuously seeking improvements for customer equipment.
Customer Service
  • Serve customers by providing information and resolving technical problems.
  • Act as the liaison between the company and the customer.
  • Resolve problems, clarify concerns, and determine the cause of issues to ensure the best solution.
  • Lead task force committees on product issues.
Reporting
  • Prepare customer reports as required.
  • Document and communicate observations of customer equipment.
  • Complete daily reports (Equipment Down or update) and other necessary reports.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Attend weekly branch meetings.
  • Support warranty process as required.
Training
  • Stay current with available technical information.
  • Provide technical training for industry-specific needs and updates.
  • Offer Technical Support to ensure the success of preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Qualifications:
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Journeyperson level trades certification with a minimum of 3-5 years of Komatsu equipment-specific experience and/or heavy equipment experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and repair of mining parts and equipment.
  • Above-average communication, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good/excellent computer knowledge and skills (Word, Excel, General Electric Software, Cummins Engine Software, Payload, etc.).
  • Knowledge of relevant acts, regulations, and equipment inspection requirements.
  • Valid driver's license with no site restrictions.
