KSR has an immediate opening for an Electronic Assembly Specialist at our Dresden Industrial - Ridgetown location
As an Electronic Assembly Specialist, you will play a vital role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the ongoing success of the automotive manufacturing facility.
Qualifications
- Education: Post -Secondary school certificate, diploma or degree in related Engineering program or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 5 years experience in an automotive manufacturing as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer with Electronic Assembly experience
Skills:
- AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite
- SMT proficiency
- Electronic circuit design, electrical controls, plant networking database
- SPC, GD&T, machine, automation, and fixture design
- Mathematics and measuring skills
- Working in a unionized environment is an asset
- Self motivated with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and decision-making skills
- Good analytical skills and mechanical aptitude
- Organizational and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Safety Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including but not limited to all requirements outlined in Sections 25, 26, 27 and 28
- Review, understand and comply with all policies and procedures in the Dresden Industrial Health and Safety Manual
Quality Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality standards on all products and processes
- Exercise compliance with Quality Management Systems when implementing and performing all company procedures
Environmental Responsibilities:
- Integrate environmental practices and commit to the continuous improvement of the EMS
- Exercise compliance with ISO 14001 standards
General Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing all manufacturing processes, ensure a reliable process, a safe environment, a quality product and an efficient plant
- Direct supervision of hourly work force to maximize efficiency and reduce operating costs
- Ensure adherence to the production schedule
- Ensure personnel issues are dealt with in timely manner, including disciplinary actions
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all production reporting requirements
- Ensure accuracy of process parameters to maximize efficiency and reduce operating costs
- Assist with program launches by ensure adherence to project timelines, engineering changes to tooling and equipment
- Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities that support lean manufacturing
- Data mining to develop scrap reduction plans and efficiency improvements
- Responsible for development of all process documentation such as PFMEA, PFLOW, Operator Instructions
- Fixture design and Poka-yoke implementation
- Ensure all procedures conform to the Quality Management Systems
- Monitor plant FTQ, scrap and rework to identify trends requiring action
- Troubleshoot internal product and quality system issues, including the preparation of Quality Alerts and leading corrective action teams
- Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
