We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Electronic Control Specialist, preferably based out of our Winnipeg, MB location, however we are flexible for any metropolitan area Applied operates in: Greater Vancouver Area (Delta), Calgary, Edmonton/Nisku, Saskatoon, or Greater Toronto Area (Downsview).
Job Summary 
As an Electronic Control Specialist in the Technical Services & Project Management Team, you will be leading our Electronic Control solutions for Integrated Solutions across Canada. This will include developing innovative motion control solutions, programming mobile displays, ECUs, Micro Controllers & other devices. The ideal candidate must be experienced, result driven and team focused.
Accountabilities: 
-Take ownership of the development of Electronic Control solutions from concept to completion
-Collaborate with teams across the organization, as well as vendors, to develop and deliver solutions to customers
-Create/ manage technical documents and files
-Provide support and expertise during project commissioning and aftermarket troubleshooting
-Provide internal and external consultation on projects
-Utilize expertise of technology and applications to support sales growth
-Stay up to date on the latest technologies while looking for opportunities to enhance Applied’s product and service offerings
-Other tasks as required
 
Requirements and competencies:

-Mechanical Aptitude (P. ENG or CET in relevant discipline preferred)
-5+ years programming ECUs or Microcontrollers
-Extensive knowledge in programming (CoDeSys, Qt, C, C++ & CANBus)
-Understanding of electrical integration and development of wiring harnesses
-Exposure to mechanical and fluid power systems is an asset
-Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with many stakeholders
-Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot on-site and remotely.
-Driven by team results
-Innovative mindset
-Strong communication & presentation skills
-Ability to manage time and be agile on requests
-Willingness and ability to travel
Wage for this opportunity will vary depending on experience level, skills, and education: $60,000-$95,000
