Job description

Absolute Software’s Marketing Operations Manager is primarily responsible for the strategy, management, and development of email programs and lead processes within the marketing automation platform. This role supports all marketing email communications and is a strategic partner in providing recommendations on how to continuously advance prospects to a sales ready stage to align with revenue objectives in coordination with stakeholders.

Email marketing responsibilities include:

  • Assist marketing teams to deploy email communications with a keen eye for detail to ensure standards and branding guidelines are met.
  • Maintain marketing database health and compliance with regulations, including GDPR.
  • Work collaboratively cross-functionally to guide other departments in the styles and capabilities of delivering product and feature communications to customers
  • Ensure positive performance in email programs to maintain high email sender reputation
  • Manage email calendar and advise requestors to ensure communications are thoughtful and timely to their intended audiences
  • Develop and manage a testing strategy to continuously optimize emails, forms, and entire campaigns in Marketo

Marketing Automation responsibilities include:

  • Support the marketing team by building, implementing, monitoring Marketo campaigns such as webinars, events (in person and online), content syndication programs, and other third-party programs.
  • Collaborate closely with Digital Marketing Manager and SDR teams to align Nurture strategies and campaigns between the systems, Salesforce, Marketo, and Demandbase to optimize for advancing persons and accounts along their customer journeys.
  • Understand the database and segmentations to be able to identify parts of a leaky funnel, potentially lost leads, and proper lead scoring and routing.
  • Providing ongoing reporting, campaign insights and pacing towards marketing team KPIs

What you will bring:

  • 4+ years of marketing automation experience using Marketo.
  • 3+ years of expertise in Salesforce usage and marketing administration, especially in building Salesforce dashboards and setting up campaign attribution programs.
  • Understanding of the relationship between Marketo and Salesforce, and how campaigns/data is synced, as well as the field mapping processes.
  • In-depth understanding of email deliverability requirements and processes, along with data privacy regulations across North America.
  • Some HTML skill is ideal.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of teams including marketing, sales, product, etc.
  • Willingness to experiment with new tools, techniques, and approaches
  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience.

The base pay range for this position is from $85,000 - $95,000 annually; the base pay offered is determined by the market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program.
