Custom Apparel Technician - Embroidery & Printing Operator

As an operator, you will operate Tajima Embroidery Machines and various Heat Presses to fulfill custom orders for our commercial clients. You will work in a fast-paced, deadline sensitive environment with multiple orders and quick changes while placing a high priority on quality control and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

- Operate and program multiple Tajima Embroidery Machines to produce orders of custom embroidered apparel

- Hoop garments according to job

- Change threads, needles, etc.

- Trim, finish and clean embroidery/garments

- Count, sort, fold and pack finished goods

- Quality control of embroidery and garments

- Apply heat transfers , DTF artwork, and crests to garments using required Heat Press

- Read and understand work orders

- Complete orders by set deadlines

- Maintain a clean, well-organized work area

- Maintain equipment

- Provide suggestions regarding design, placement, fabric and thread selection

- Some design work may be required

Qualifications:

- Experience working with Embroidery Machines and software would be an asset but is not required

- Experience in a graphic or design-related environment would be an asset, but is not required

- Experience running a sewing machine would be an asset, but is not required

- A flexible schedule with the ability to work early mornings, days, evenings and weekends

- A desire for long-term employment

- Able to work independently and as a member of the team

- Able to work long hours standing and walking

- Able to lift at least 50lbs and be comfortable bending, lifting and kneeling

- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Demonstrates computer literacy

- High school education or equivalent
