Job Title: Employee Administrator - W


Department: Human Resources


Job Purpose: To support C.P. Services vision / mission through contribution to achieving established organizational goals while adhering to company values


Reporting To: Human Resource - Supervisor (Or designate)


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree / associates’ degree in Human Resources

Training & Development

  • Occupational health and safety certification is an asset

Work Experience

  • Data entry experience is an asset

Work Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00am - 5:00pm Mountain Standard Time
  • 8.5 hours per day

  • Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).

  • Demonstrated management capabilities (thorough understanding of planning requirements, ability to plan and meet deadlines, ability to manage and allocate resources effectively and efficiently, understanding of safety requirements related to field activities).

Organizational structure

  • Update company organizational chart as required

Position development

  • Assist in the development and updating of positions

Health and safety

  • Work with safety administrator to outline fit-for-work and medical testing requirements for all positions

Compensation

  • Conduct pay scale market research on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain market rates for all positions
  • Assist in the development and updating of position compensation progression plans

Labour laws and legal compliance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, employment standards, privacy act, and human rights legislation is adhered to

Recruitment

  • Creation of job postings
  • Engagement with candidates
  • Progression through pre-employment screenings

Onboarding

  • Conduct company orientations
  • Conduct position level orientations
  • Progression through ready-for-work deliverables

Training and development

  • Track job specific training / certification
  • Book required training / certification

Talent management

  • Identification of employee career goals
  • Outline of career goal milestones for employees
  • Tracking of employee development towards career goals

Benefits administration

  • Submit monthly benefit hours

Employee engagement and communication

  • Craft company memos and communication for distribution

Performance management

  • Take part in employee performance reviews

Policy enforcement and compliance

  • Take part in company policy enforcement and compliance initiatives

Employee termination

  • Process employee end-of-employment documentation
  • Process employee ROEs

Employee off-boarding

  • Conduct employee exit interviews

Position termination

  • Delete active positions as required

Employee records and data management

  • Maintain organized employee files in company HR software

HR technology implementation

  • Assist with the implementation and training on company HR software
