The Opportunity:
Four-month work term: May – August 2023
How You Will Contribute:
You will be part of an industry-leading multi-disciplinary organization that develops high-baud rate modems for next-generation optical communication networks. The specific team to which you will report specializes in the design of custom high-speed analog/radio-frequency integrated circuits in nano-scale CMOS technology.
The position will apply your knowledge and skills from mathematics, physics, computer and electrical engineering, programming, and overall test your problem-solving ability.
You will be responsible for creating, testing, and deploying custom engineering tools for managing critical design data, facilitating collaboration, and improving design efficiency.
During your term, you will be immersed in an industrial R&D-style environment and mentored in the very latest tools and techniques necessary for integrated circuit design.
We are looking for highly motivated engineering or computer science candidate who is passionate about problem solving, and loves working with others.

The Must Haves:
Working towards completion of a bachelor of engineering or computer science degree
Foundational knowledge of calculus, linear algebra, physics, programming, and electric circuits
Demonstrated proficiency with Python, SQL, C++ and graphical user interface design
Assets:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Confident working in both Windows and Linux environments
