Environmental / Natural Resource Professionals
DWB Consulting Services Ltd. (DWB) is seeking applicants for full-time Environmental Managers, Project Managers, (Registered) Professional Biologists, and Professional Agrologists (or other related Environmental Professionals) based out of our Prince George offices. The ideal candidates will provide leadership, professional guidance and advice, and project and environmental management on a broad range of projects in a variety of market sectors and environmental disciplines. The roles will be a mix of office and field work and the applicant should enjoy working collaboratively in a demanding, fast-paced environment that provides rewarding work opportunities.

Primary Location: Fort St. John
Office or Field: Office and field. Flexible work schedule.
Travel: Some field work and travel are expected. Varies by position.
Wage or Salary Range: Compensation varies by position, typically $32 - $42 / hr plus overtime, travel, professional dues, benefits, and year-end bonus. Variation in salary is determined by factors such as position sought, qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
Responsibilities: Provide leadership, professional guidance and advice, and project management for a broad range of environmental projects in a variety of Natural Resource sectors. Supervising, training, and mentoring junior team members.
Your education, training, and memberships: Current or eligibility within 1 year for a relevant professional designation (e.g., RPBio, PBiol, PAg, RPF, etc.) is required.
Your skills and experience:
- Skills and experience required vary by position.
- Experience varies depending on the position, typically 3-5 years of demonstrated relevant work experience.
- Effective relationship, communication, and networking skills to cultivate relationships with client, regulators, team members, community members, and First Nations.
- Project management and organizational skills to coordinate and support team members and manage client expectations and project safety, budgets, and equipment.
- Ability to review and prepare professional reports, study designs, and develop project proposals and quotes.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations in BC to ensure legal compliance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategic solutions.
- Enthusiasm for mentoring and training junior team members and supporting their professional development.
Depending on the position, familiarity with the following is considered an asset:
- Various Natural Resource sectors
- Environmental field assessments and surveys (fish/wildlife/avian/wetland/vegetation/soils).
- Reclamation/Remediation.
- Erosion and sediment control plans and implementation.
- Mining exploration and mining operations.
- Construction Environmental Monitoring/management
Desirable Traits:
- Willingness to present at seminars or conferences and for networking with other professionals and prospective clients.
- Interest in working with other professionals and subject matter experts on multi-disciplinary projects.
- A focus on results to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Ability to adapt to changes throughout project life-cycles. Ability to work extended or flexible hours to match client requests.
