Scope:

• Environmental field work including soil and groundwater sampling, reclamation and remediation assessments, biological assessments, etc.
• Collect, analyze and interpret environmental data
• Use GIS (Geographic Information System) and other tools to map and analyze environmental data
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address environmental issues and execute project plans (water quality monitoring plans, sampling plans, wildlife surveys, etc.)
• Prepare reports and presentations on findings and recommendations

Requirements:

• Post-seconday degree/diploma in Environmental Science or related field (preferred)
• Ability to execute field work, which can include long days in the field, manual labour and walking long distances
• Proficiency with standard software required to write reports and present data (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)
• Some experience or exposure to GIS software, such as ArcGIS, for mapping and spatial analysis
• Ability to collect, organize and interpret various environmental data accurately.
• Familiarity with applicabile regulations, guidelines and criteria for reclamation, remediation, biological assessments, drilling waste management and environmental planning.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and an ability to interact with clients and project stakeholders in a friendly, clear and concise manner
• Valid driver's license

Salary: $23.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 60 per week
