Environmental Service Worker

We are currently looking 2 for Environmental Service Workers for our main site in Holland Centre, home to 22 supported individuals. We are a dedicated team, seeking to support and enrich the lives of those we support. The Environmental Services staff play a critical role in maintaining the health and well-being of our supported individuals by ensuring Infection, Prevention and Control standards are maintained.

This position is casual in nature, meaning there are no guaranteed hours each week but the successful applicant should expect to be scheduled 8-44 hours each week. The shifts are strictly days: 8am-4pm.

Job Description:

• Performing routine cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, bedding, etc.) on scheduled rooms and hallways
• Sanitizing high-touch surfaces throughout the day
• Routine cleaning of washrooms, monitoring and restocking products
• Picking up, laundering, and putting away clothing for residents
• Communicating with team and other departments any concerns or important information

Qualifications:

• Professional or personal experience working with individuals who have complex needs is preferred
• Good communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
• Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to shift duties quickly, depending on daily needs
• CPI Non-violent Crisis Intervention certified, or willingness to complete in-house training
