Summary of Position

The Event Tech works to prepare event spaces while providing outstanding hospitality when working with the guest or other team members. They can follow directions, work independently and are reliable. They must possess a positive attitude, confidence, patience and an ability to think quickly whilst managing many tasks simultaneously.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set, refresh and turn all private event spaces as necessary and to ensure the best client experience.
  • Wipe/clean all tables and chairs or other event furniture.
  • Ensure all equipment (tables, chairs, etc) utilized for meetings/events are of best repair while identifying and reporting issues with non-functioning items.
  • Re-set private event spaces between meetings.
  • Report all private event space damage to Hospitality Manager/Event Manager (e.g. chipped paint, broken doors, etc).
  • Remove garbage, recyclables, compost from private event rooms after events.
  • Ensure private event spaces are cleaned after each event.
  • Assisting with Audio Visual as needed (will be required to learn basic AV skills).
  • Comply with and follow all Lightfoot & Wolfville health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Act as an ambassador to Nova Scotia’s food and wine culture with personal experience and recommendations.
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of Lightfoot & Wolfville wine portfolio, business pillars and philosophies, and outstanding hospitality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
