Experienced Groomer Operator

We are looking for an experienced (2 seasons minimum) Groomer Operator for the coming season, benefits will be available following the first successful season.

Reporting to the Outdoor Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be required to safely operate grooming equipment and carry out tasks to build and maintain and high-quality product for our snowmobilers.

Job Responsibilities:

· Safely operate grooming equipment, completing pre and post trip inspections of machinery.

· Perform daily light maintenance on vehicles and implements (topping up fluids, cleaning interior and exterior, greasing, and fueling of machine).

· Recognize and report unusual noises and conditions to the supervisor.

· Complete daily vehicle log sheets and daily data input form.

· Record and report any potential hazards.

· Report defects, accidents, or damage to equipment

· Transport supplies to and from emergency shelter cabins

· Relay grooming information to staff for the daily grooming report.

· Be an advocate for health and safety, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

· Work flexible shifts, including holidays, and weekends, in extreme weather conditions.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Self motivated

· Work well in a team as well as independently

· Must be in excellent physical condition, heavy lifting and manual labor may be required

· Knowledge of the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club trail network is an asset

Qualifications:

· Have previous experience operating snow grooming equipment, with an excellent safety record.

· Are mechanically inclined, with an understanding of basic operations and maintenance of equipment

· Must be responsible, and reliable

· A passion for working outdoors

· Valid BC Driver’s license (or international equivalent); previous Winter driving experience; a driver's abstract and a claims experience letter from a previous insurer stating 3 years claims-free (obtained before commencing)

Contract length: 5 months

Salary: $26.00 per hour
