Your Day-to-Day:
Perform complex Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for nuclear power plant systems, evaluating plants potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (i.e., seismic, fire, flooding, etc.) for domestic and international plants
Develop PRA applications for next generation nuclear power plants and new commercial nuclear markets
Lead project teams effectively contributing to the technical execution as well as the schedule and financial objectives
Identify and lead strategic initiatives, develop product offerings and pursue target product markets
Present technical topics and interface with global customers and regulatory bodies
Develop and support innovation products from conception through marketing and delivery
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Education Discipline
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required(Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or Chemical)
Professional Engineer License considered a plus
Desired Skills
20+ years professional experience in Canada
Minimum of 20 years experience with PRA Model development applied to nuclear plants;
Strong knowledge of PWR reactor operation, particularly focused on CANDU reactors
Should have a strong knowledge of
Internal/External Hazards PRAs;
Level 2 PRAs;
Human Reliability Analysis (HRA)
Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs)
Proficiency with PRA software (CAFTA, RiskSpectrum);
Experience with preparing and publishing technical papers
Peer Review leadership experience
